"BEING MORTAL" GROUP AT SERENBE
DEVELOPS INTO THE COMMUNITY CARE NETWORK
The book discussions of Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End by Atul Gawande, have evolved into a new movement not only for Serenbe residents, but for the residents of Chattahhoochee Hills. On June 1, 2015 a record turnout of residents came to explore the need for new understanding, new intentions and new actions around the inevitable condition of aging and death. Since that date monthly dialogues have been held devoted to the meaning of well being and how to live healthier and more vibrant lives. The group has redefined itself as the Community Care Network (CCN) with a mission of creating awareness, connection and participation around these issues.
